Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Panasonic cordless 3/8 12v drill
The Panasonic 12 volt cordless drill.
The reason I purchased this drill is that I have 4 more just like it and needed batteries to keep them going. When the batteries wear out, it costs about $65 bucks a battery for replacements (that price is a ripoff). It is less expensive to buy a new drill with 2 batteries than to buy just 2 batteries. Why can't Panasonic sell batteries for a reasonable price?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - panasonic tools
my second panasonic cordless drill. After buying several other brands, Makita, Porter Cable, Bosch. I found a drill that the battery did not fail within two years. The replacement cost of batteries for drills makes it impractical to not just replace the drill. Panasonic is one of the biggest name in batteries and in my opinion, the batteries are the first item to fail on the other drills I have owned.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Best for the money
The only thing I dont like about mine is that the drill is VERY noisy, and feels like the gears have sand in them. It works great though (I'm an industrial electrical apprentice) and I just dont have any other complaints, other than desiring longer battery life. The chuck should have been made of a different composition, because it was oxidized when new in the box.

I have this as part of the metal saw kit. VERY good for cutting 1/2" to 1" EMT. Hacksaws are for suckers.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - BIG NAME KILLER!!!!!!
I've owned many cordless drills over the years...This is top dog quailty!!!You get what u pay for when it come's to cordless drills!100.00 dollars is the best deal on cordless drill you will find!Oh also for the people who said there's no bit holder...if thay would have read the owners manual they would have read too pull out the battery and the nicely hidden bit holder is right there where the manual say's it is!!!I find myself grabbing the panasonic 12 volt before all my other drill\driver's. WOW I'm very impressed and you will be too!!!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good product
This is a nice drill. I replaced a Skil Top-Gun that I had used for 16 years. I like the small size, it is easy to get into small spaces. The Ni-cad batteries work just fine. Has plenty of power to drive screws.

Every now and then, I feel thankful that I'm not an idiot. Don't get me wrong, most of the time I yearn for the simple, carefree life of the halfwit. I long to relish the stupid joys of the lowest common denominator, uncomplicated by critical thinking, ulterior motives, ironic distance or simple logic. To drive my daughter straight to Disneyland and delight in the asinine, saccharine femininity represented by their Princess Fantasy Faire. To take in an adorable baby chimp without thinking through the very real possibility that it might grow up and rip someone's face off one day. To say "It's all good" and really mean it.

Being stupid is fun and relaxing. That much is obvious, and it enrages the non-stupid to no end. Just look at the Letters pages here on Salon: Filled with intelligent, tormented human beings, angry at everything under the sun, absolutely furious – livid! -- over the existence of television sets and octuplet moms on disability and fat kids and Sarah Palin and anyone insensitive to the plights of polar bears, severe allergy sufferers, the home-schooled, and, of course, intelligent, tormented, lactose-intolerant human beings like themselves.

But being an imbecile has its drawbacks. Yesterday, for example, I got an email from the IRS. Apparently the IRS needs more information from me -- including my social security number, which they seem to have misplaced. That's understandable, really. The IRS is huge, their office is probably a wreck. Anyway, I have just 12 hours to fill out my tax refund claim form, but my correspondence must remain confidential and "must not be disclosed by anyone other than the intended recipient." I think that means don't tell your accountant about this, because she might not realize that the IRS handles much of its business through email, and sometimes refers to taxpaying citizens as, simply, 'Rabbit.'"

The truth is, I wouldn't have to be that much stupider than I am now to fill out that form and send it back. Instead, I just feel really glad that I'm not a complete moron.
